Quick Snack Ideas
When you are heading out the door and need a few quick snacks to through in your bag for the outing with your baby, you want something fast and easy and something that is low-maintenance for the baby to eat. Here are a few ideas:
Avocados: These are good travelers, make sure you cut it in half before going if you are not going to have access to a knife. Bring a spoon and scoop out bites for your baby.
Beans: When you cook a batch of beans, save some on the side for a quick snack on the go. They are great finger foods for your little one.
Bananas: These are staples at our home because they are so easy to use. Before Lua could eat a banana on her own, I would break a banana in half and using a spoon scoop out the meat from the peel. This technique worked great on the go because it made little to no mess.
Blueberries: Already in perfect bite sizes, there are another staple in our home.
Cheese: Buy a block of raw organic cheese and chop up into small bite sizes, place in a container and go!
Grapes: We quarter these and are great for traveling.
Precooked Veggies: Steam carrots, squash, zucchini and chop into small bites sizes, keep in the fridge and use on the go.
Strawberries: We bought these fresh every week at the farmers market, rinse and chop into bite sizes.
Raw Milk Cheese: Delicious snack with enzymes to help digestion
Sausage Chunks: Of course free range, grass fed meat only for quick protien boost
